Miami-Dade Public Library System Introduces Free Online and Mobile Access to Thousands of Streaming Movies, Music and Audiobooks with Hoopla Digital Service

(MIAMI, November 10, 2014) – Miami-Dade Public Library System today announced the public availability of thousands of movies, songs, and audio books all available for mobile and online access through a new service with hoopla digital for free to all library card holders.

Through the library’s page, http://hoopla.mdpls.org, library customers can access hoopla digital via their personal computer or download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or iOS device to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies, and publishing houses – available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their computers, smartphones, tablets, and Apple TV.

“Whether it’s books, DVD’s, CD’s, or audiobooks on the library’s shelves or new digital resources, the library is committed to improving the quality of our collection and providing it in the format that is most convenient to our customers,” said Monica Martinez, Library Service Specialist at Miami‑Dade Public Library System. “With hoopla digital, we are able to expand our collection with thousands of movies, songs and audiobooks that are accessible via your library’s website or hoopla app – free of charge. The service is also digital and immediate, so there is no waiting period for popular titles and no need to worry about late fees.”
