When school is out, lunch is in at the Library!

– Miami-Dade Public Library System to provide free lunch for kids 18 and under at numerous branches –

(Miami, FL – May 14, 2015) The Miami-Dade Public Library System is proud to announce that it will be hosting its free lunch program for kids 18 and under from June 8th to August 21st at numerous branches throughout the Libraries in the county. The free lunches are made possible by the Summer Break Spot, Healthy Body Healthy Mind and Sisters for Abundant Living.

Lunches meet the nutritional USDA guidelines and will be served on a first come, first served basis at different branches. Download the serving schedule at www.mdpls.org. No registration is required. “Providing free lunches to children during the summer break months is another way your public library system strives to serve our community,” stated Library Director Gia Arbogast. “We are proud to be able to offer this very important necessity to the youngest in our community.”
