Miami-Dade Public Library System launches new “Lucky Day Collection”
– Lucky Day Collection will feature bestsellers and new DVDs –
(Miami, FL – July 10, 2015) Visit a participating branch for new items that are readily available for your choosing and get the chance to avoid the long wait periods! The Miami‑Dade Public Library will begin offering a new special collection of bestsellers and DVDs that can be instantly borrowed on a first‑come, first‑serve basis. This collection will be located at a designated space in certain branches.
Titles in this collection cannot be placed on hold or renewed and can only be checked out by the next lucky person who finds them. The Lucky Day Collections are intended to enhance the browsing experience so when patrons visit our branches they experience the thrill of finding the latest and most popular titles on our shelves.
To make sure as many of our patrons as possible get lucky, titles will go out for shortened loan periods: books will check out for 14 days and DVDs will check out for 3 days. Patrons can have only 2 Lucky Day items checked out at a time per library card.
The library will continuously update this collection with newer in‑demand titles on a regular basis, so come stop by one of our locations and see if it is your lucky day!
