Miami-Dade Public Library System and the Information Technology Department announce the Launch of Library Online Payments

– Patrons able to pay for fines and fees online from their library card account –

(Miami, FL – October 19, 2015) The Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) and the Information Technology Department (ITD) is pleased to announce the launch of an online payment feature now available for MDPLS customers through their library card accounts. In addition to existing online account features such as reserving your favorite title, using electronic resources to access free e‑books, databases, and training classes, MDPLS customers will now also be able to pay outstanding balances on their library card account using a credit card.

Gia Arbogast, Director of the MDPLS stated, “We continue to implement improvements to this library system with a focus on ease of use and convenience to our customers. ITD has been a great partner in helping us develop and implement this feature.” The online payment feature will go live on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at www.mdpls.org
