Miami‑Dade Public Library System presents Sewing 101: A 5‑week Series

(Miami, FL – June 15, 2015) Ever hope you might learn to tailor? The Miami‑Dade Public Library System presents Sewing 101: A 5‑Week Series. Milda Bublys, a fashion designer and former Fashion Institute of Technology professor, will teach you how to sew on buttons properly, shorten or lengthen hems on skirts, pants and more! The events will be on the following Saturdays; June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11 and July 18. All of the events will be at the Little River Branch Library located at 160 NE 79 Street from noon ‑ 2 p.m.

Milda's work has achieved international acclaim, being well‑received in Italy, Lithuania, as well as New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. She has worked in the New York fashion industry for major labels, as well as major mass‑market retailers. Various stints, such as a costumer on Broadway, have shaped her colorful career—experiences in which she hopes to share with others. The event is limited to 15 participants at each event.
