Miami-Dade Public Library System Kicks‑off Storytelling Miami Events with Teen Wii Geek Gaming Competitions
– Teens will battle head‑to‑head to claim gaming superiority and a $100 prize –
(Miami, FL – February 19, 2015) The Miami‑Dade Public Library (MDPLS) is pleased to announce a series of Teen Wii Geek Gaming competitions, the first of a host of Storytelling Miami events throughout the library system in February, March and April. Teens, ages 12‑19, who believe they can reign supreme in head‑to‑head Super Smash Bros. competition are asked to visit one of the branches hosting the competition. Four winners from each branch will be eligible to compete in the finals at the Main Library.
The Teen Wii Gaming competitions will take place on:

Naranja Branch
Wednesday, March 4, 3 p.m.
West Kendall Regional
Tuesday, March 10, 3:30 p.m.
Main Library
Wednesday, March 11, 3:30 p.m.
Miami Beach Regional
Wednesday, March 18, 5 p.m.
North Dade Regional
Saturday, March 21, 4:30 p.m.
Kendall Branch
Tuesday, March 24, 5 p.m.
Miami Lakes Branch
Saturday, March 28, 11 a.m.
West Dade Regional
The finals tournament will take place on Saturday, April 11, Noon at the Main Library.The top scoring teen will take home a $100 Game Stop gift card.
