From learning to read to advancing your career to exploring new hobbies, the library can help you take your life story to new heights!
Show us how the library has helped you “Take Your Story Further” by creating a unique bookmark design.
The winning entries will be distributed in all 50 MDPLS locations.
Information & Entry Rules
- Theme: Take Your Story Further…
- New this year, the contest is divided into four age groups:
- a. 5 years and under
- b. 6‑11 years old
- c. 12‑17 years old
- d. 18 years and over
- Participants must be MDPLS cardholders.
- Bookmark entry must be an original design by the participant. Entries that violate copyrights will be disqualified.
- Limit one entry per participant.
- Entries must be submitted in person to any MDPLS branch by 6 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019.
- Entries will be judged by library staff based on originality and best interpretation of the theme.
- Each MDPLS branch will select a semifinalist from each age group, from which eight finalists from each age group will be chosen.
- Finalists will be notified by November 25 and invited to an awards ceremony for them and their families.
- The grand prize winner of each age group will have their design reproduced for use throughout all MDPLS locations. The top three winners in each age category will receive a prize.
- All entries become property of MDPLS.
- MDPLS employees are not eligible to participate.
